Already breaking the rules

Just call this blog, "Politics, News, and Money." Today's topic is the dress everyone's arguing about. First of all, it's blue and black. More importantly, ISIS has killed people and destroyed priceless artwork, you shouldn't devote three minutes of news time on a dress. It's a dress, not a priceless work of art. Some will say that it costs a lot of money. It doesn't matter, it shouldn't. It cost the manufacturer maybe $14, that's U.S., to make the goddamn thing. Why should it cost upwards of $200? I don't care how much time the designer spent making the dress, that's their job! They enjoy it! They're supposed to spend that much time on it. So who cares what the designer did? Yes, designers should be paid, but a modest wage, not millions of dollars a year. I've gotta say that whoever stirred this up sure knows how to get people's attention. Probably just a marketing scheme. Anyway, that concludes today's post.

Politics and Money

This blog is a way to express my political views. Although it is called "Politics and Money," it will not always be about money. It will always have something to do with politics. Today's topic is U.S. President Barack Obama's veto power, specifically the Keystone XL Pipeline. Republicans tried to pass the bill in early February, then delayed giving it to the president for approval, and just recently gave it to the president, who vetoed it. They don't have enough votes for a 2/3 majority, so they resort to criticizing the president. Barack Obama has used his veto power just 3 times in his presidency. Anyone who vetoes something they disagree with is immediately dismissed as a hater of America. Obama isn't the one refusing to fund Homeland Security and opening us up to a terrorist attack.

Now for some bipartisan criticism. Obama promised jobs. He hasn't passed the Keystone Pipeline because he's worried about the environment. Mr. Obama, I'd like to say that I don't care whether or not the Keystone Pipeline is approved, but it will provide jobs, which you promised. According to you, it is right up your alley. I know Democrats aren't big fans of carbon emissions, but his main promise was to better the economy, not to stop climate change from killing us all when President Uborg Cyberaliendude takes over as president.
